Man_of_the_Century said:
HailTheLeaf said:
Nice try, Anarchism is actually when people control their own lives, and make their own decisions instead of having someone they've never met before make decisions for them. It's being self-reliant and helping everyone else, like having co-ops instead of corporations so everyone has an equal share, and there are no bosses, you get back what you put in, you profit from your hard work instead of others profiting from your work while you starve. It's about no taxation without representation, and not following laws that you had no say in making that serve no purpose but to limit your personal freedom.
Anarchism is not that. Anarchism is the breakdown and elimination of law and government. Anywho... nothing you just said would ever work. You basically just described Communism, and we all know how well that works. People want to do the least amount of work and get the maximum payout. If everyone could think and work the same way, it could be pulled off. Its just not realistic. With the law thing, its virtually impossible to have all 298,465,836 people in the U.S. vote on every law that gets made. If you got an idea I'd love to hear it.
Isn't that what I just described? If there wasn't a government here, then we'd control our own lives. It would work, co-ops work. Anarchism and Communism are 2 different things, I'm describing the Anarchist view. We could easily vote locally about each law that affects us, without a government and an economy, you'd need fewer laws anyways.
