THE ACACIA STRAIN exit guitarist, still touring[views:11825][posts:4]_______________________________________ [Dec 24,2006 12:54pm - the_reverend ""] THE ACACIA STRAIN offers touring, line-up updates Fresh off supporting THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and From A Second Story window along with labelmates LIGHT THIS CITY, Massachusetts? THE ACACIA STRAIN has returned home before hitting the road again in January and February. Vocalist Vincent Bennett has offered a bulky band update via the band?s MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/theacaciastrain): ?Hello everyone in heavyland. Vincent here with a large update. We haven?t spoken in a while so I figured I?d bring you guys up to speed. The Daniel [Dan Daponde, guitar] has bowed out gracefully. For those of you have been asking about Daniel J. Daponde, here are your answers: due to health problems, Dan has been forced to leave his position as a badass guitar player in The Acacia Strain. We miss him a whole bunch, and we are sure you all do as well. Wish him luck in his future endeavors! We are NOT currently looking for a replacement. Please stop asking. When we do end up looking for another guitarist, we will let you know. For now, here is what you might want to strive for: 1. At LEAST one year of tour experience as a musician 2. Commitment to us and the road, we are never home. 3. A good attitude! 4. Willingness and the ability to write music. There is more, but like I said...We aren?t really looking right now. DL [Daniel Laskiewicz] is doing pretty well on his own. The tour with Through The Eyes of The Dead, From A Second Story Window, and Light This City was fucking amazing! Thanks to all who came out and had a good time! See you again in January/February! Speaking of which, we are touring in Jan/Feb with Job For A Cowboy, Psyopus, See You Next Tuesday and Daath! DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO MAKE IT TO ONE OF THESE SHOWS. It?s going to be bruuuuuutal. See you there! have a merry X-mas. <3 Vincent? THE ACACIA STRAIN 1/10 Vestal, NY ? _______________________________________ [Dec 24,2006 12:55pm - the_reverend ""] I was wondering why he was standing on the side of the stage. I guess no chance of an xhomicidex reunion... |
_____________________________________ [Dec 27,2006 1:37am - MadOakDevin ""] wait so the band that had 3 guitarists (for no reason) at one point is now down to one? their gimmick is gone! |
_____________________________________ [Dec 27,2006 1:39am - Sacreligion ""] i'm assuming the two that left are the ones whose layers were recorded lowest on their first full length(i'm not familiar with their new one at all) |
__________________________________ [Dec 27,2006 8:39am - SteveOTB ""] From what I hear The Acacia Strain is pretty much a revolving door of musicians. I saw them not too long ago with only 1 guitarist, I never got to see them with 3. I wish I got the chance but whatever, 1 guitarist can do the job of 3 except there's a little more lead work on the new album so 2 guitarists would be necessary in that aspect. |
