When I was in 6th grade we had to do reports on ancient Egypt. A friend of mine wrote it all about mummies, and made it all up. I remember there was this one part where he said "It is a well known fact that mummies have super strength. This is explains their ability to do things like rip off car doors, or punch through walls after they come back to life." It was accompanied by a drawing of a mummy chasing a woman. I'm pretty sure he got a D on that too. |

A paper like that gets sent to the guidance counselor, or they just hold the paper and call your parents or something. They don't just deduct a couple points for a picture of Lou Gherig and a bunch of made up shit about rim jobs. I had to write a paper once in high school about "Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, which had the biggest effect on your life." I basically said that if either one of them ever met me they wouldn't give a shit life I lived or died, and although they may have accomplished a lot in the eyes of others I didn't see how any of their accomplishments pertained to me at all. I never got that paper back, and it was implied that it went to the guidance counselor or superindendant or something. |
