Up first is New York’s CLITORTURE and their thick, sludgy take on grind. No-nonsense tracks like “Oct. 21, 1973” with its catchy, murky grooves, and the ferocious “The Dead Machine” show a band at the peak of the genre. Massachusetts’ GOREALITY deliver four punishing tracks of their own, deftly navigating the waters of downtuned, brutal death metal with a seasoned ease.
