Perhaps it was subconscious apprehension that is all to clear to me now. This was no where near as a good as the series or Fight the Future. In FtF, they were smart to keep the ball rolling with the Black Oil and colonization arc (as they should have). After 6 years this was the best they could come up with? It's bad enough that there's no continuation of the myth-arc, but the plot was very underwhelming. As good as Duchovny, Anderson and even Patrick are, the series took a downturn when they off'ed the original Syndicate, Krycek and eventually CGB Spender, who might I add, was the best character on the show. It's like 2002 all over again, ugh. |
