All of a sudden, the lumberjack with the mic starts talking about how much he loves freedom. And I'm like, "Amen, brother, hmmmnnnnayeah" 'cause I get it, knowhaddeyemean? Like, eagles and shit. So, of course, I start crying. And it makes me think of this young Latino family I'd seen at the mall, who were yelling at each other in Spic, and I said "Hey, do you know where the fuck you are, Pancho Villa? You're in America. The land of freedom. Slap your wife at home." And that is what America is about. It's about driving to that family's home to check on them at 3am to make sure they've heeded the call to freedom, and finding out their still arguing, so you crash your 85 Ford F250 into their first floor apartment and you burn their flags and corn. That is what this band is about. That Lumberjack is a prophet of truth. Love it, or leave it. |
