Kind of seemed as though Hollywood said, "Who are some of the grumpiest actors we can find to be in this movie? Agent Smith, Hannibal Lector, Dude from Way of the Gun and that bitch whore from The Devil Wears Prada. Check, check, check, aaaaaand check." Visually, the movie is pretty vicious in it's violence, yet they don't go overboard. For the whole, "boo" factor, you know they're going to have a lot of lound sounds and sudden jolts that you can tell from a mile away are coming, but they do something new... They give you a goddamn double dose on multiple occassions! You see the scare coming, so when it hits, you're not freaking out, but then, out of the blue, they hit you with a second one that you DO NOT see coming. I was jumping in my seat more than I was expecting and I don't know if I can chock this feeling I have for the movie up to admiration for this new(yet basic) attack, or irritation. Anyways, see it in theatres, wait for DVD, pirate it. Give it a chance(?) |
